Problem(Abstract)

The time displayed in the Sterling Integrator User Interface does not match operating system time

Cause

There is a clock internal in the JVM which is independant to the Operating system clock.
Gentran Integration Suite / Sterling Integrator uses the JVM clock.

Environment

AIX

Diagnosing the problem

The time shown in the Sterling Integrator User Interface does not match the operating system time

Resolving the problem

Make a backup of the bin\tmp.sh and tmp.sh.in files



Edit the bin\tmp.sh file and the tmp.sh.in files

Find this line in the file

SERVER_FLAGS=""

change the "SERVER_FLAGS" line as per these examples for the UK and Europe time zones:-
SERVER_FLAGS="-Duser.timezone=Europe/London"
SERVER_FLAGS="-Duser.timezone=Europe/Berlin"

Stop/Start Sterling Integrator after making the change
