An error occurs when the user tries to install another program

Technote (troubleshooting)


Steps to reproduce:
1) Internet Explorer 9, using our financial management website which
requires SAP 7.2 SP9 software. (This can also occur when viewing an SAP Occulus document)
2) navigate to the point where the website prompts to attach a file and
opens a file selection dialog.
3) A TEM Client reconfiguration wizard window pop-up, runs and then
4) Happens on all our systems wich have the SAPGUI software installed.


On the windows logs the Windows Installer records the errors below when
this error is occurring:                                                

Detection of product '{E387A719-DD69-41CC-A876-A1EEB55E03D9}', feature  
'BESClient' failed during request for component                        

Detection of product '{E387A719-DD69-41CC-A876-A1EEB55E03D9}', feature  
'BESClient', component '{CEA7C6C4-509E-451C-B17B-CC62EF0B9A2C}' failed.
The resource 'C:\ProgramData\BigFix\BESClientCompliance\Connect\' does  
not exist.                        

The UID numbers will be different in each case.


BESClientComplianceMod.dll has not been registered.

Resolving the problem

register it by running cmd: regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\BigFix

or for 64 bit systems

register it by running cmd: regsvr32 "C:\Program Files(x86)\BigFix
