Sterling Control Center reports show headings but not details.

Problem(Abstract)

When reports are run from the SCC Console the Internet Explorer 9 window opens and the SCC report heading is shown, but no details for the report is shown.

Symptom

At the bottom of the IE9 Windows there is a information message " Internet Explorer has modified this page to help prevent cross-site scripting"


Cause

This is expected message due to new XSS features used in IE to prevent cross-site scripting

Environment

Internet Explorer 9, Cognos 10.1.1

Resolving the problem

In Internet Explorer follow these steps while the report is open:


1. Open Tools → Internet Options, select the ‘Security’ tab.

Click ‘Trusted Sites’ and add ‘x trusted site URL’ as a trusted site.

2. Click ‘Trusted Sites’ on that same Security tab, and click the ‘custom’ button. In the big tree of options, look for “XSS Filter” and disable it
