APM UI does not successfully launch TEP

Problem(Abstract)

Attempting to open the APM, the browser does not perform properly.

Symptom

Different problems occur launching or using APM in a browser on Windows.

  • java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: C:\Users\<username>\wr5.0.13\.webrendererswing5\windows\webrenderer.dll:
    Can't load IA 32-bit .dll on a AMD 64-bit platform
  • The APM launches with IE9 but the browser does not load completely

Cause

There are configuration changes needed for proper execution.

Resolving the problem

Verify or resolve these configurations

  • java 1.7 is not supported with this version of APM and ITM.
    • Uninstall Java
    • remove c:\Users\<username>\wr5.0.13
    • Install java 1.6 32-bit version
  • When using IE9, turn off compatibility mode
    • Open Internet Explorer in the desktop.
    • Press the Alt key to display the Menu bar.
    • Select Tools -> Compatibility View settings.
    • Clear the Download updated compatibility lists from Microsoft check box and uncheck all checkboxes. Press Close.

    • or choose to temporarily change Compatibility
