Locking mechanism used by JDBC Adapter during inbound polling

Question & Answer

Question

What level of locking is acquired by the JDBC Adapter at the database during inbound polling?

Answer

JDBC Adapter acquires the record level locking at the database end during inbound polling. Since the lock is acquired at the record level, it is possible to have the creation of new events in the event table when the Adapter polls the event table, and retrieves the events from the event table.
