Rational Asset Manager communities.faces fails to display existing Communities

Troubleshooting

Problem

IBM Rational Asset Manager (RAM) server cannot load and display communities list.

Symptom

Under Administration, the Communities list does not finish loading.

Cause

The configured Web Server Path in communities.faces page is invalid.

In RAM 7.5.1.2 and higher, RAM no longer allows users to access RAM through any host URI other than that is configured in the configuration page.

Resolving The Problem

Procedure:

  1. Login to RAM as an administrator

  2. Go to Administration > Configuration

  3. Go to Web Server Path and verify your server hostname and port

Example: The image below shows that the Web Server has a HTTPs Path, but the path has an unsecured port: 9080.

  4. Save your changes.

Note: If you use HTTPs protocol, the Web Server Path must have HTTPs and secured port. Also, you may select the Use default checkbox to correct the issue.
