Sterling Connect:Direct not starting - Seeing errors XCFF003I and XRIP001I
Newly installed copy of IBM Sterling Connect:Direct (C:D) does not start, when executing cdpmgr.
The errors which are output, and their meanings are:
XCFF003I Return Code: 8 Feedback: 0
XRIP001I Return Code: 8 Feedback: 0
File &FILE is not a regular file.
The specified file is not a regular file.
SYSTEM ACTION: The config file was ignored.
RESPONSE: Verify that the file is a valid config file.
Config file open failed.
The open for the initialization parameters configuration file failed.
SYSTEM ACTION: Initialization for CD for UNIX failed.
RESPONSE: Ensure that the file exists and its name is spelled
correctly. Restart CD for UNIX.
cdpmgr invoked using the -i argument to indicate the location of the initparm.cfg file, but with only the path specified, and no file itself.
Resolving the problem
Invoke cdpmgr with the full path AND file name of initparm.cfg.
cdpmgr -i /opt/cdirect/CDUNIX/ndm/cfg/<node_name>/initparm.cfg
cdpmgr -i /opt/cdirect/CDUNIX/ndm/cfg/<node_name>/
