Can you use the "Availability" Workspace in the Tivoli Monitoring and Reporting product to determine if the product is functioning properly?
"Availability Workspace" should NOT be used to determine proper functioning of the Tivoli Monitoring and Reporting product due to unreliable indiction of NO INSTANCE messages. This message is displayed anytime the agent does not pass any data for a given report type. However it is not uncommon for the agent to not pass any data. Some reports are not run during every historical collection period. In other cases the data collected did not change from the last collection period and is therefore not passed to the Derby database per design. When this happens "Availability Worksheet" for that report type will report NO INSTANCE.
