Symptom

Discovery Server service fails to start


Cause

port conflicts

Resolving the problem

InfoSphere Discovery and InfoSphere Optim can share the following ports:

AJPPort 8009
DerbyPort 1527
JMXSecurePort 9998
SMTPPort 25

InfoSphere Optim must change to use a different ports:

ActiveMQPort 61616
ActiveMQStompPort 61613
COSNamingPort 1050
HTTPPort 8080
HTTPSPort 8443
JMXPort 9999
NamingPort 1099
OpenEJBPort 4201
ORBPort 6882
ORBSSLPort 2001
