Resource Records are not deleted after the removal of their associated Resource Shape definitions

Technote (troubleshooting)

Problem(Abstract)

After you delete a custom Resource Shape and run the recomputeReconciledState CLI command to recompute the reconciliation state of Registry Services resources, the associated Resource Record might not be removed.

Symptom

The removal of a custom Resource Shape from Registry Services database does not remove the Resource Records associated to it.

If you delete a Resource Shape, run the recomputeReconciledState CLI command, and verify the Resource Record collection URL, you can still find the Resource Record associated with the deleted Resource Shape.

Resolving the problem

The solution for this defect is available in the Registry Services 1.1.0.0-iFix01 package.
Ensure that you have this iFix version or later installed in your environment.

If you do not have this iFix installed, see the steps required for installing this package in the 'Registry Services Version 1.1 iFix 1 in Jazz for Service Management Version 1.1' document, which is available online at http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg24034649.

After applying the latest package, run the recomputeReconciledState CLI command to reset the reconciled state of Registry Services resources.

Note: Registry Services Fix Pack 1 or later will also contain the solution for this defect.
