Problem
When using the IBM Rational Directory Administration (RDA) application, the maximum number of objects to be displayed is reset to a default of 200 after a reboot.
Symptom
The value gets reset to 200 after a reboot.
The setting changed in View > Filter Options stays set as expected until a reboot.
Cause
This is the default out of the box and is working as designed.
Environment
Any Rational Directory Administration usage.
Diagnosing The Problem
The value will get reset after a reboot.
Resolving The Problem
If another value is preferred and you would like to have it stay in place even after a reboot, you have to edit the TDSConfiguration.xml for the Rational Directory Administrator (RDA). There are many different locations of the TDSConfiguration.xml file for each of the different installations including IBM Rational Synergy and IBM Rational Change but make sure the one edited is for the RDA.
Each RDS directory will have an RDA or WebAccessServer sub directory where the file is located.
You will want to edit LDAP_USER_COUNT and LDAP_GROUP_COUNT as noted below to the value you choose.
