What are circles in Model Performance graph created by SPSS Modeler’s SLRM node?

Technote (FAQ)

Question

Modeler’s SLRM node creates a nugget with a Model Performance graph. What does the circles on the Model Performance graph represent?

Answer

Each time the model is assessed, you get three circles (which represent points). The middle one is the average proportion correctly predicted in the simulation samples for that offer. The ones labeled Upper and Lower are ends of a confidence interval around that average.

Note that if you have the box checked on the Model tab to Continue training existing model, the new data being fed in are added to the previous data to update the model rather than having a new model run just on the new data. If you do this, you get a new set of circles (points) that are based on a larger sample size.
