Cannot enable FIPS mode in Secure+

Technote (troubleshooting)

Problem(Abstract)

Error trying to enable FIPS mode in Secure+:

Verify Private Key passphrase failed: #110 - FIPS_check_dso fingerprint does not match

Symptom

Verify Private Key passphrase failed: #110 - FIPS_check_dso fingerprint does not match

Cause

Outdated Java class sharing cache

Resolving the problem

Regenerate the Java Shared Class Archive:

(1) Make sure that CD Secure+ Admin Tool and CD Secure+ CLI are not running. There is no need to stop the Connect:Direct node.

(2) Open Windows Explorer, browse to your Connect Direct v4.5.01 installation and delete the classes.jsa file:

<your Connect Direct v4.5.01 path>\jre\bin\client\classes.jsa

(3) Open a Command Prompt, issue the following command:

cd /d <your Connect Direct v4.5.01 path>\jre\bin
java -Xshare:dump

The command will regenerate the classes.jas file.
Afterwards verify that you can now import a new keycert with FIPS mode being enabled.
