Troubleshooting


Problem

During an IBM Sterling Connect:Express for UNIX transfer, the following errors occur: SRC=0001 TRC=2044L PRC=3310 on the sender side. On the sender side the file is blocked. But the receiver log indicates that the transfer has ended successfully.

Symptom

TRC 2044 - Virtual Circuit was lost

PRC 3310 - Network incident.

Environment

IBM Sterling Connect:Express for UNIX version 1.5.06

Resolving The Problem

The network error occurs while the receiver is acknowledging the transfer. For the receiver the transfer is ended, but for the sender the transfer is interrupted because they didn't receive the acknowledgement from the receiver, due to the network error.

For IBM Sterling Connect:Express for UNIX it is working as designed. If the file has been received successfully, make sure the file is not being resent again, causing multiple files to be received.
