IBM Support

Configure the JDBC jar class path

Question & Answer

Question

What directory do you specify in the field "JDBC Jar Class Path" when attempting to define an Oracle database job?

Answer

1. Find the following directory for the Oracle client on the local Dynamic Agent where you want the database job to run: /oracle/product/11.2.0/client_1/jdbc/lib

2. Copy all the jar files (9 jar files) found in that directory to <TWAHOME>/TWS/jdbc directory.

Note: If this directory does not exist, create it. It is also important to ensure that the full path to the jdbc driver jars directory is accessible to the "tws_sagent" user and each directory of the path has to also be accessible by the "tws_sagent".

3. Define the "JDBC Jar class path" to "<TWAHOME>/TWS/jdbc".
