SITA905W Secure+ Parameter file not encrypted using TDES

Environment

Resolving the problem

Encrypting the Connect:Direct Secure+ Option Parameters File with TDES

The Secure+ Parameter file was created prior to Connect:Direct for z/OS version 4.5.00. If these files are used in later releases, you will receive a SITA905W warning message during startup, indicating that the parameter is not encrypted with the TDES algorithm.

Caution: Before you begin this procedure, make copies of the Secure+ Option parameters file and the
access file to enable you to back out of this change if necessary.

To encrypt a Secure+ Option parameters file with the TDES algorithm:
1. Open the Secure+ Admin Tool.
2. To display the Secure+ Admin Tool File Selection panel, select File and type 2.
3. To display the parameters files configured for your system, type the parameters file prefix or
partial prefix followed by an asterisk (*), select Browse, and press Enter.
4. To open the file, type S beside the file and press Enter.
5. From the File menu, select Save as and press Enter.
6. On the Save As information panel, select the text string Make Pass Phrase and press Enter.
7. Type the required passphrase and press Enter.
8. To submit the Save as-generated JCL, select option 3- Submit and press Enter.
