Question
What is the maximum number of extra disks supported by the Additional Disk Extension?
Answer
Since the first version of the Additional Disk Extension more than 7 disks are supported. The number of disks is irrespective of the Operating System. The Additional Disk Extension starts using the first SCSI controller (default SCSI controller '0') and since 16 virtual device nodes can be created on the SCSI controller, a maximum of 14 disks can be added on any virtual machine, because the 0th is for root disk and the 7th is reserved.
