Table formatting is not rendered correctly for resources registered with Japanese and Chinese locale characters

Technote (troubleshooting)

Problem(Abstract)

When you register a resource with Administration Services by using the -viewResources command, the Administration Services CLI shows the resources in a tabular format. The table formatting is not rendered correctly, when you register a resource with Japanese or Chinese locale characters in Resource Name or Resource Description fields.

Cause

The Japanese or Chinese locale characters are double byte characters. While formatting the content to display in the tabular format these double byte characters are not handled correctly.

Resolving the problem

A workaround does not exist currently.
