How can I verify whether different Administration Services components are installed and working?
Answer
Verifying installation of the Administration Services application
You can run the Administration Services command-line interface with the -buildinfo operation to display the build information for the installed Administration Services application in the command window.
- Open a command window and browse to JazzSM_HOME/admin/bin.
- Run the adminservices CLI with the -buildinfo operation for your operating system as follows:
- On UNIX systems: ./adminservices.sh -buildinfo
- On Windows systems: adminservices.bat -buildinfo
If basic authentication is enabled for Administration Services, the user ID and password must be provided. The user ID must be previously mapped to the PlatformAdministrator administrator role for Administration Services.
- Enter the user name and then the password.
The Administration Services CLI outputs the following information in the command window:
The following build information has been retrieved:
Client: client_build_number
Administration service provider: administration_service_provider_build_number
You can run the Administration Services command-line interface with the -viewTasks operation to return the list of registered tasks for the managed system, such as, IBM® Dashboard Application Services Hub, IBM Tivoli® Common Reporting, and Registry Services.
