Troubleshooting
Problem
If you run the steps documented in the IBM Rational ClearQuest 8.0.0.5 Information Center help topic "Upgrading Solr to the latest version supported by ClearQuest" to upgrade Solr from V1.2.0 to V3.6.1, you might encounter a situation where re-indexing does not complete. The reason is because the []fresh_batch_idx[] command-line option is not supported in this scenario.
Resolving The Problem
In the ClearQuest 8.0 Information Center help topic Upgrading Solr to the latest version supported by ClearQuest, Procedure section, replace Step 3 with the following content:
3. If a message displays after the command in Step 2 completes that instructs you to re-index the user database, then rerun the cqtsadmin.pl command four times, with the
stop_update_idx, run_batch_idx, optimize_idx, and start_update_idx command-line options, respectively:
