Update operation returns incorrect response when KeepRelations property is set to false in WebSphere Adapter for PeopleSoft

Technote (troubleshooting)

Problem(Abstract)

When the KeepRelations property is set to false, the update operation returns an incorrect response when PeopleSoft EIS has child business objects, and the input data has no child.

Symptom

The incorrect response has a dummy child, and sometimes even returns a dummy child with a non-dummy grand child.

Cause

This problem occurs because the data check is not done at the EIS end.

Resolving the problem

If the get() method is available at the EIS end, then PeopleSoft Adapter uses the get() method to retrieve the EIS data for generating the correct response for the update operation. This issue has been resolved in PeopleSoft Adapter Fix Pack version 7.0.0.3.
