Problem(Abstract)
Opening Assets, Workflow Designer or Application Designer applications, users sees a security warning dialog.
Symptom
User opens Assets, Workflow Designer or Application Designer, and sees the following in a dialog box:
Do you want to run this application?
An application from the location below is requesting permission to run
Location: <web application server hostname/.../?event=loadapp...>
.
Cause
Recent updates to Java Run Time Environment (JRE) display warnings of this type when Java applications are invoked in a browser.
Resolving the problem
Workflow Designer, Application Designer and Assets (when Topology Viewer is enabled), require that Java be installed to the local machine and enabled in Internet Explorer. If you check the box to the left of Do not show again for this app, you will no longer get this warning,
Note: In versions of Maximo prior to 7.5.0.4, users who go to Assets will see this popup, even if they don't have rights to view Topology Viewer. This problem is fixed in the most recent Interim Fixes for Maximo Asset Management 7.5.0.0, 7.5.0.1, 7.5.0.2 and 7.5.0.3. as well as Fix Pack 7.5.0.4.
