Selecting the type of an attribute or parameter is difficult because the dialog is too small and cannot be resized

In a large UML model containing many classes, the dialog that allows you to select the type of an attribute or parameter, namely Select element for type, cannot show all available types. The dialog provides scroll bars, but finding the desired type using the scroll bars is difficult and time-consuming.

The following steps reproduce the problem:

1. Create a new UML Model
   
   
2. Create multiple packages and classes
   
   
3. Add an attribute to one class
   
   
4. Give focus to the Properties of the attribute
   
   
5. Click on Select Type
   
   
6. Select one of the existing classes
   
   
7. Observe that the dialog Select element for type, where you can browse or search, has a fixed size

In all RSA versions up to 8.5.0, the dialog could not be resized.

SOLUTION

Upgrade to v8.5.1. In this version, the dialog Select element for type can be made larger, which makes it easier and less time-consuming to select the type.
