When opening a folder attached to a workflow, the viewer displays "Sorry an error occurred" in IBM Content Navigator.

Technote (troubleshooting)


In IBM Content Navigator (ICN), the error "Sorry an error occurred" [sic], appears when attempting to open a folder in the attachments tab of a workflow.


The error as described above appears in the folder view in ICN. No errors or warnings are logged to the application server's files.


This may be caused by a property mis-configuration whereby the symbolic name and the label name of the object store do not match. As the workflow step uses the label name instead of the symbolic name, the mismatch throws the error.

Diagnosing the problem

Check the symbolic and label names of the object stores for a mismatch.

Resolving the problem

To resolve the issue, modify the symbolic name and label name of the object store to ensure that they are identical. Once they have been altered, retry the operation.
