Attempting to open a Teamspace in Content Navigator throws error CIWEB1097

Technote (troubleshooting)


Problem(Abstract)

When trying to open a Teamspace in IBM Content Navigator (ICN), the following error appears:

"CIWEB1097: The list of teamspaces cannot be retrieved."

Symptom

Attempting to open an affected Teamspace may show this error:

Cause

This issue can be caused by a stored search that was assigned to the ICN Teamspace, being deleted before being removed from the Teamspace.


It has been identified as a product defect under APAR IO18112


Environment

IBM Content Navigator

Diagnosing the problem

Reviewing the application server log may show entries for missing object errors such as the following sample from the IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS) 7 SystemOut.log file:

CIWEB Error: @ com.ibm.ecm.struts.actions.p8.P8ListTeamspaces.executeAction()
com.ibm.ecm.teamspace.TeamspaceException: teamspace with id "{<ID of stored search>}" does not exist!

Resolving the problem

This issue may be tracked under APAR IO18112 and a fix will be provided in a future fixpack.
