Abstract
Version 2.7 of the IBM Monitoring and Diagnostic Tools for Java - Garbage Collection and Memory Visualizer (GCMV) is now available for IBM Support Assistant V4.1 and V5.0. GCMV helps you diagnose memory management and garbage collection problems in your Java applications. It lets you see graphical and tabular displays of GC and memory usage data over time.

New features in GCMV 2.7 include:
- Additional support for Solaris JVM, including logs generated by the G1 garbage collector or with the -XX:+PrintGCDataStamps parameter
- New data to view including GC rate
- Support for compressed files and rolling logs
- Selection of multiple files to compare
