Problem(Abstract)

InfoSphere Discovery v4.6.2 installation may fail if the WAS instance installed with Information Server is running.

Resolving the problem

Work-arounds:

Scenario 1: If InfoSphere Discovery has not yet been installed, follow these steps:
a) stop the WAS instance installed with Information Server
b) install InfoSphere Discovery
c) restart the WAS from Information Server.
Scenario 2: If InfoSphere Discovery installation was attempted and failed, follow these steps:
a) stop the WAS instance installed with Information Server
b) uninstall InfoSphere Discovery
c) re-install InfoSphere Discovery
d) restart the WAS instance installed with Information Server.
