The Sametime awareness is not displayed in the Standard Lotus Notes inbox database

Problem

The Sametime users can not see other users awareness in their Lotus Notes Inbox database and this leads to believing that the users are not Online.


Resolving the problem

Steps for resolving the inbox awareness issue with in Standard Lotus Notes


1. Please add. com.ibm.collaboration.realtime.community/useCanonicalNameOverride=1 to
file plugin_customization.ini in c:\notes program folder\framework\rcp.

In the notes.ini for the client side shows that the following to be done

i) Exit Notes client.

ii) In the Notes client notes.ini, set the following parameter and save

IM_USE_CANONICAL_NAME=1


2. Please clear the person cache

i) Please delete (Notes>\<Data>\workspace\.metadata\.plugins\com.ibm.collaboration.realtim e.people.impl)

OR

ii) To delete the Sametime cache for the embedded Notes client, delete this folder:

<notesdata>\workspace\.metadata\.plugins\com.ibm.collaboration.realtime.people.impl\PersonCache

4. Restart the Notes client.
