Problem(Abstract)
Artifacts in IBM Rational Method Composer are listed under the Work Product Rollup tab for a Capability Pattern and Activity that should not be listed or related.
Symptom
You have artifacts in Rational Method Composer listed under the Work Product Rollup tab within the Properties tab for a Capability Pattern and Activity that should not be listed/related.
You do not understand how they got there as they are not included on any tasks within the Capability Pattern or Activity.
The ones that should be there have Mandatory Input, Optional Input, or Output in the Model Info column. For those that should not be there, this column is blank.
Cause
The artifacts are Work Products to which the roles are responsible.
Resolving the problem
There is an option that was added to Rational Method Composer 7.5.2.1 that will provide you the desired results.
Select the preference "Exclude unused work Products in process when publishing" option in the Method -> Publishing/Browsing menu item.
