Question

Why do I receive an error when trying to publish a ROS to Cognos in a multi-language environment?

Cause

BMXAA7927E - The report object structure cannot be published because the description is the same as REP_PLUSPPERSON for language code FR. Descriptions of the report object structures must be unique within a language.

Answer

To enable the ROS to publish the package name in multiple languages, you must configure the Object Structure Definition for Reports, REP_MXINTOBJECT. Add two additional child objects for the localized versions of the object and attribute as shown in the chart below:
