Individual mailbox restore fails with ANS1017E and ACN5060E

Technote (troubleshooting)


Problem(Abstract)

A mailbox restore attempt fails with ANS1017E (RC-50) and ACN5060E errors.

Symptom

In the tdpexc.log file, the following errors are logged :


ANS1017E (RC-50) Session rejected: TCP/IP connection failure
ACN5060E A Tivoli Storage Manager API error has occurred.


Environment

Idletimeout needs to be increased


Diagnosing the problem

In the dsierror.log file, the following errors are logged :


cuGetFSQryResp: Received rc: -50 from sessRecvVerb
fsGetTable: Got error from server query RC: -50
ANS1017E Session rejected: TCP/IP connection failure

The Tivoli Storage Manager server activity log shows the following error :

ANR0482W Session 11756 for node <NODE_NAME> (TDP MSExchg) terminated - idle for more than 15 minutes


Resolving the problem

Use the setopt command to increase the idletimeout value on the Tivoli Storage Manager server and then retry the restore. Run the SETOPT IDLETIMEOUT command to increase the idletimeout value. For example, to increase the idletimeout value to 45 minutes, use the following command :


SETOPT IDLETIMEOUT 45

Note that increasing the idletimeout will affect all clients.
