Configuration needed for Rich Page Editor

Technote (troubleshooting)

Problem(Abstract)

Rich Page Editor is a feature of Worklight Studio. It is used to edit HTML and JSP files, add Dojo widgets to HTML pages, and create and edit web pages for mobile devices. On Linux systems, the Eclipse Standard Widget Toolkit (SWT) might not be able to find and use the default native browser.

Resolving the problem

Refer to Installation requirements for embedded browsers on Linux systems for more detailed information.

Note, the modifications suggested at that link should be applied to the proper file. The proper file is based on the installation.

  • For Eclipse P2 installations, edit eclipse.ini file
  • For Install Manager installations, edit Worklight.sh. However, in shell sharing cases involving other components in the installation, you may have to inspect which executable launch point is being used so the proper file can be edited.
