Technote (troubleshooting)


Problem(Abstract)

Internal TPM commands such as tioStatus.or xmlimport fail with error.

Cause

The cli certificates are expired or out of sync.

Diagnosing the problem

ERROR message "COPCOM607E The engine status
is not available because of the following reason: Connection failed,
check if TPM server was started successfully. (com.ibm.jsse2.util.h: No
trusted certificate found)


Resolving the problem

Use the URL provided to check the expiration date for the certificates and confirm steps 3 and 4 were completed as directed.

The certs are intentionally switched during the copy process:

3) Copy tpmKeyStore.jks to cliTrustStore.jks

4) Copy tpmTrustStore.jks to cliKeyStore.jks
