Can you extract the information directly from the Connect:Direct Unix logs

Technote (FAQ)

Question

A method is needed to extract data directly from the Connect:Direct statistics logs for analysis and investigation without the need for a client connection.

Answer

Data can be extracted directly from the Connect:Direct statistics logs in the <NDM Install path>/work/<node name> directory.

If AWK programming skills are available, use the "ndmawk.awk" script from the <NDM Install path>/ndm/bin directory as a basis for writing a filter. Alternatively, use any other scripting language such as Perl to parse work files as required.

Details on the record ids and fields in the statistics file can be found in the "Determining the Outcome of a Process" section of the Connect:Direct Unix Administrators Guide.
