Problem(Abstract)
TSM destination is the only available backup destination. The Both and local options are greyed out
Symptom
The Data Protection for Exchange or Data Protection for SQL GUI VSS backup only shows the TSM Destination as available; the LOCAL and BOTH options are greyed out. For example :
Cause
Flashcopy manager license not installed
Resolving the problem
For a LOCAL VSS backup, it is necessary to have the license for the Flashcopy Manager.
This is a separate license from Data Protection software package.
A license file called fcmclient.lic should exist under the C:\Program Files\Tivoli\FlashCopyManager (default) directory.
The fully licensed FlashCopy Manager installation package would need to be obtained from Passport Advantage.
