An xscmd keystore parameter is needed if clientAuthentication is set to true

Technote (troubleshooting)

Problem(Abstract)

If clientAuthentication is set to true, when running a command with the xscmd utility, the command issues an IOException when the keystore (-ks) parameter is not specified.

Symptom

WebSphere eXtreme Scale xscmd commands return an IOException similar to the following exception: java.io.IOException:Connection reset by peer

Diagnosing the problem

Check the server.properties file to determine whether the clientAuthentication property is set to true.

Resolving the problem

If the server has started with clientAuthentication property set to true, then pass the keystore parameter with the xscmd command. This applies to all commands you are issuing.
