How to grant approval rights only at team level

Question

Can we grant approval permission only at team level, rather than at Customer level for any Service request in TSAM ?

Answer

The procedure is the following:

0) Disable auto approval
1) In the Maximo UI: Goto/Security/Security Group
2) Filter for the group PMRDPTA (Cloud Team Administrators)
3) Open the "Applications" tab
4) In the "Applications" Table filter for "web 2.0" (this should resul
in selecting the Cloud Web 2.0 Application)
5) In the table at the bottom in line "Grant My Approval Panel" check
the "Grant Access" checkbox
6) Save the changed content using the disk item in the menu bar
7) To remove the approval for the cloud admins use the same procedure to
"uncheck" the "Grant My Approval Panel" option for the PMRDPCA and
PMRDPCSA group.
8) Then in the Maximo UI: Goto/System Configuration/Platform
Configuration/Database Configuartion
9) Filter for the object SR
10) Open the "Relationships" tab
11) In the "Relationship" Table filter for "approv" (this should resul
in selecting the PMRDPCUST_APPROVER)
12) In the where clause put the following query:
(personid in ( select userid from GROUPUSER where ( GROUPNAME='PMRDPCM'
OR GROUPNAME='PMRDPTA') and userid IN ( select PERSONID from
PERSONGROUPVIEW where PERSONGROUP IN (select PERSONGROUP from
PERSONGROUPVIEW where PERSONID IN (select CREATEDBY from SR where
TICKETID=:ticketid)))))

Since the step 11 require to change a "builtin" TSAM "Relationship" you could not want to change it.
If so, here is an alternative procedure of the step 11 to add a new relationship rather editing the existing one, so that you can use the customized one for the roles/notification:

1) Go to the Maximo UI: Goto/System Configuration/Platform
Configuration/Database Configuartion
2) Filter for the object SR
3) Open the "Relationships" tab
4) In the "Relationship" Table click on "New Row"
5) Insert Relationship (Name), (Where Clause) and the child object as PERSON
6) Save.
7) Goto/System Configuration/Platform Configuration/Roles
8) Filter for PMRDPCUSTA
9) Delete existing value in Value field
10) Expand Value. Select bluebox before (Name)/personid
11) Save
