Problem(Abstract)
When attempting a backup with Data Protection for Exchange a proxy error of ANS1535E (RC5705) is reported and the backup fails
Symptom
The tdpexc.log will show the following:
ANS1535E (RC5705) Proxy Rejected: ASNODENAME and NODENAME are identical.
Cause
This is caused when the LOCALDSMAgent value matches the Tivoli Data Protection nodename.
Diagnosing the problem
Check the dsmerror.log in the BAclient folder for messages similar to:
ANS1662I Agent Node: 'TDP_MAIL_NODE' Target Node: 'TDP_MAIL_NODE'
ANS1535E Proxy Rejected: ASNODENAME and NODENAME are identical.
Check the tdpexc.cfg and ensure the LOCALDSMAgent value matches the nodename for the "Client Acceptor" service.
Resolving the problem
Change the LOCALDSMAgent value to match the nodename. that is being used for the Client Acceptor and Remote Client Agent services.
