Question & Answer
Question
When running 'setup' program to install InfoSphere Information Server, why do I get the following error message?
"The image properties file was not found. The file is part of the entitlement package which can be obtained from your installation media or download site. The package name has the form Bundle*.zip. Before installation, extract contents of this package into the /is-suite directory"
(Later versions of installer may give different wording: "The image.properties file was not found, The file is part of the entitlement package, which can be obtained from your installation media or download site...")
Answer
In v9.1 and later versions, the Bundle*.zip refers to the file with name similar to IIS_Vx.x_BUNDLE*.zip which contains the license key for the purchased InfoSphere Information Server packages.
For example, the file for Information Server 9.1 is IIS_V9.1_BUNDLE_SPEC_FILE_MPML.zip, while for 11.7 the file is IS_V11.7_BUNDLE_SPEC_FILE.zip
You need to download the appropriate bundle specification zip file for your product release from the Passport Advantage site and unpack it into your product media directory, e.g. 'is-suite' directory. This will create a license folder which is needed for the install process to continue.
