Question

How do you use IBM Rational RequisitePro GUI Application Interface (RqGuiApp) using Misrosoft Word 2010?

Cause

Rational RequisitePro uses RqGuiApp library to control the RequisitePro Application as well as RequisitePro Documents opened in Microsoft Word.

Answer

The below mentioned steps will help you in using Rational RequisitePro GUI Application Interface (RqGuiApp) using Misrosoft Word 2010:

  1. Open Microsoft Word 2010

  2. Press ALT + F11

  3. Select This Document and enter the RPX Script

  4. Click Run

  5. Select ReqPro10.DOT when prompted to select Template in Macro

Note: You will not be able to see ReqPro10.DOT under Template Section while running the RPX script if RequisitePro is not there in Addins tab in Word 2010. To add RequisitePro under Addins tab apply the following steps:

  1. In Microsoft Word 2010 Click File

  2. Click Options

  3. Select Word Addins in Manage Section

  4. Check ReqPro10.DOT in Templates Section

  5. Click OK
