The difference between :USER and :&USERNAME and :PERSONID and :&PERSONID&

Technote (FAQ)

Question

In where clauses for conditions and domains what is the difference between :USER and :&USERNAME& and :PERSONID and :&PERSONID& ?

Answer

In a condition where clause the use of :USER or :PERSONID refers to the current value in fields named USER and PERSONID respectively.

If you want Maximo to take the current users USERID or PERSONID use :&USERNAME& or :&PERSONID& in your conditions expression or where clause.
