Business Space and WebSphere Service Registry and Repository profile augmentation
In V8.0 of Business Space and WebSphere Service Registry and Repository (WSRR), customers need to use the automated install document - Dynamic Installation Guide. Profile creation, augmentation, and database creation should be completed carefully, as recommended in the Information Center.
Business space login page is blank.
The profile augmentation is not correct, or the database is not created correctly.
Diagnosing the problem
You get a blank login page for Business Space after installation and configuration.
Resolving the problem
- Ensure that the Business Space binaries are installed on DMGR, and all the nodes.
- Ensure that the DMGR is augmented with the appropriate template (dmgr.wsrr).
- Ensure that the nodes are either created with custom profile, and are augmented with managed.wsrr, or they are created with managed.wsrr.
The WebSphere Service Registry and Repository product will augment Business Space. You can verify this by observing the grade out of the Business Space augmentation when you use the PMT tool to augment DMGR or node.
Use the dynamic installation guide. You can create the WSRR, SIB, and activity logging tables in the Business Space database. However, you must make sure that the Business Space tables are created first. You must do this to ensure that Business Space gets the correct tablespace allocation. If you create any of the other tables first, the tablespace will be too small, and Business Space will not work.
