Workaround for scrolling issue when using Server Automation V8.2 on Internet Explorer versions 8, 9, 10, 11

Answer

There are scrolling limitations when using IBM Endpoint Manager for Server Automation V8.2 on a computer with Internet Explorer 8, Internet Explorer 9,
Internet Explorer 10, or Internet Explorer 11 installed.

When you use IBM Endpoint Manager for Server Automation V8.2 on a computer with Internet Explorer 8, Internet Explorer 9, Internet Explorer 10, or Internet Explorer 11
installed, there are scrolling limitations in the Add Step, Default Settings, and Take Automation Plan Action dialog boxes, as follows:

  • On Internet Explorer versions 8, 9, or 10, you cannot scroll by moving the horizontal or vertical sliders on a scroll bar.
  • On Internet Explorer 11, the console crashes if you move the horizontal or vertical sliders on a scroll bar.
  • On Internet Explorer 9, you cannot use the scroll bar arrows to scroll.

To work around this issue, you can scroll using the following methods:
  • Using the scroll wheel
  • Clicking the arrows on the scroll bar (except on IE 9)
  • Clicking a section of the scroll bar
