Attempts to instrument a Microsoft Visual Studio Application in IBM Rational Purify Plus Results in R6034 Error
Symptom
R6034 error while instrumenting application
Cause
Common dlls present in multiple locations in the system after upgrading Microsoft Visual Studio.
Resolving the problem
Get to the Cache present IBM Rational Purify Plus installation directory and check for the repeated runtime dll's. Rename all the dll's which are repeated and are present in any other location other than "<Operating System Drive>:\windows\winsxs".
Note: Ensure to take a backup of any dll's before renaming or deleting the same.
