Resolving the problem

As documented in the FlashCopy Manager Data Protection for Exchange requirements, the Microsoft C++ package is required to be installed on the system. There was an installation issue for the Data Protection 6.3 release whereby this pre-requisite was not automatically placed on the system during the installation processing. This is addressed in APAR IC79770, After upgrading to Data Protection Exchange 6.3.0...

To resolve this problem, install the Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 x32 Redistributable package.
