Informix driver error import GET DATA SQLDriverConnect failed: error 105

Technote (troubleshooting)

Problem(Abstract)

I am trying to import MS Access from Informix Database driver. I clicked on File/Open Database/New Query.  I then selects Informix and then clicks the Next button.  It allowed me to make selection. Then getting import GET DATA SQLDriverConnect failed: error 105
command name: EXECUTE.

Resolving the problem

Installing Statistics SDAP 6.1 for Informix Driver should resolved this issue.

Here is the link to the most current actual documentation:

http://www.datadirect.com/download/docs/odbc/allodbc/help.htm

that is for version 7.1 and under Informix it lists:

• Informix Dynamic Server 11.0, 11.5, 11.7
• Informix Dynamic Server 10.
• Informix Dynamic server 9.2, 9.3, 9.4

Under the what’s new for version 6.1 (which is our latest):

http://www.datadirect.com/products/odbc/release-history/odbc_driver_release_61.html#Informix

is when they added 11.7 so that should be the current list for 6.1 as well.

For Access the following link will provide access to 64-bit ODBC drivers:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyID=C06B8369-60DD-4B64-A44B-84B371EDE16D&displaylang=en

Informix and Oracle Client Drivers. Use this option to install the on-wire protocol Connect ODBC drivers for the Informix and/or Oracle Clients (does not install the clients). These drivers use the database client middleware to connect to the database. Unless you specifically want to use the drivers for the database client middleware, choose the Informix and/or Oracle wire protocol drivers found under Drivers for All Supported Databases.
