Opening a report results in the "Internal Server Error" error message

Problem(Abstract)

Attempts to open report using IBM Rational Quality Manager (RQM) results in the error "Internal server Error" message.

Symptom

When you open a report, you get an Internal Server Error error message and the following output is written in the SystemOut.log file:

Cause

There is known defect in the IBM virtual machine bundled with IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS). The APAR PM79419 has been created for the issue.

Environment

WAS version 8.0.0.5 or 8.5.0.1

Resolving the problem

SOLUTIONS


  • Use any of the following versions of WAS:
    • WAS v7.0 with the latest fix pack
    • WAS v8.0.0.4 or lower fix pack
    • WAS v8.0.0.6 or higher fix pack
    • WAS v8.5.0.2 or higher fix pack
