Problem(Abstract)
Attempts to create a link to IBM Rational Team Concert (RTC) using Links-Create Implemented by in IBM DOORS Web Access (DWA) results in the error CRCRW5065I "The remote server may be unavailable".
Symptom
The error is shown at the top of the module
The remote server may be unavailable. ID CRCRW5065I
Please verify your configuration.
Cause
Verify that RTC is accessible from the DWA server. If it is, the issue may be that the authentication mechanism, in this case oAuth, is not being triggered. A login dialog for RTC should be presented but it is not.
Resolving the problem
Upgrade to Rational DOORS Web Access 9.5 or later.
WORKAROUND:
If upgrade is not possible, use one of the following workarounds:
- If any link to that RTC project already exists, hover over it. This should trigger the authentication after which the Create will also work.
- Create the link in the DOORS thick client
- Create the link in RTC
