Configuring the eWAS for SSL on Impact 5.1.1 using "server.cer"

Technote (FAQ)

Question

Can the "server.cer", which is generated from using the keytool, be used for SSL certificate and key management?

Answer

Current docs, under the "Configuring the embedded version of WebSphere Application Server for SSL certificate and key management" section in the 5.1.1 Admin Guide state:

5. In the table, click the Add button to copy the signed certificate (for example, cert.arm) file to the WAS_HOME/profiles/ImpactProfile/etc directory.

It should be modified or noted to include the "server.cer" information, which is the certificate generated from using keytool;

5. In the table, click the Add button to copy the signed certificate file (for example, if you've used ikeyman to generate the file would it be "cert.arm" or if you're using keytool to generate the file would be "server.cer") to the WAS_HOME/profiles/ImpactProfile/etc directory.
