In ITCAM for Transactions 7.3, after upgrading to RPT 8.2.1.x, your RPT scripts incorrectly report timeout errors. Existing RPT 8.1.x scripts do not have this problem. Why?
This issue is identified as a product defect under APAR IV11856
Rational Performance Tester (RPT) 8.2.1 introduced changes that require an update to the T6 agent in order to playback these scripts correctly.
These fixes are included in ITCAM for Transactions 7.3 FP01 (220.127.116.11-TIV-CAMRT-FP0001).
Note: If you are unable to apply this fixpack, or a later fixpack, please apply the following fixes. These fixes are available from the IBM Fix Central site (https://www.ibm.com/support/fixcentral/).
- For Linux and Unix platforms, install 18.104.22.168-TIV-CAMRT-LA0003 on the T6 hosts.
- For Windows, you need to install a pair of fixes on the T6 host. First, install 22.214.171.124-TIV-CAMRT-IF0002. Then, install 126.96.36.199-TIV-CAMRT-LA0003.

You need to update the T6 agents and your RPT workbench installation. You use the itmpatch command to apply 220.127.116.11-TIV-CAMRT-LA0003 to T6 agents. You use a different installer in 18.104.22.168-TIV-CAMRT-LA0003 to install an updated ITCAM export plugin in RPT itself.
On Unix and Linux platforms, in isolated cases, the itmpatch command may fail to detect the underlying operating system architecture correctly. This issue causes itmpatch to report that it cannot find an update file for the detected system architecture.
In cases like this, you may observe messages like the following in the itmpatch.log:
ERROR hh:mm:ss (dcfpackageprocessor.cpp,494): Unable to locate or
install patch files which are applicable to this system in the directory
The workaround is to find alternate instances of the itmpatch command under the T6 ITM_HOME directory and launch the itmpatch command from one of those alternate directories.
